| Marc Carpentier is a Canadian performer and broadcast specialist based in Tokyo, Japan, currently working for NHK World's International Planning and Broadcasting Department. His professional experience spans more than 36 years as announcer, journalist, writer, producer, actor and voice artist, including 15 years at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Marc has worked with major radio and television networks in Canada's main cities of Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver as program host, reporter and producer. He was a founding member and principle VJ of MusiquePlus, and program host at MuchMusic TV network. Marc is a popular commercial voice artist and narrator of documentaries and corporate video productions. At NHK, he co-hosts a weekly radio magazine; anchors radio news; narrates major TV and film documentaries; and is a writer for TV news and other programs. Other duties have included writing, producing and hosting special radio documentaries and announcing on various radio and television programs, as well as teaching announcing, performance and writing skills. He also files special radio reports for CBC/Radio-Canada and contributes to major newspapers such as Le Devoir and La Presse. Marc Carpentier's professional skills also include acting and singing. His performing credits include engagements with the Orpheus Operatic Society in Ottawa, the Greater Vancouver Operatic Society, the Burnaby Lyric Opera, and the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra. |
